In the spotlight : the wedding tuxedo

The Wedding Tuxedo is lit

Being an expert when it comes to the made to measure wedding suit, we like to keep you updated on the latest developments. That’s why we summed up all the latest trends for the fall and winter season 2024/2025 here. Of all the available looks for your wedding day, we like to put a specific one in the spotlight. This time - the wedding tuxedo.

The tuxedo is becoming very popular very fast. This classic dress code is already a usual suspect in many countries and will make its appearance in our country the upcoming season as well.

The midnight blue tuxedo

Do you fancy rocking a tuxedo on your wedding day, but you aren't sure how to stand out in the crowd being the groom? Today we would like to inspire you, showing off this three piece, midnight blue wedding tuxedo which we made for a special wedding in the South of France.

This made-to-measure tuxedo is created from a fine wool and silk blend coming from the Suite Collection of the Italian mill Carnet. At 250 grams - a nice, lightweight fabric. We selected the midnight blue version which complements all shades of ivory, champagne and off white - which we often see in wedding dresses. In our opinion the deep, dark blue stands out just a bit more than the classic black version. On a side note, we create tuxedo’s in all shades if you really want to make a colourful statement. On this tuxedo, we added Ottoman silk which adds some texture. The shawl collar is made wider to make it stand out more. A matching wide piping on the pants and side adjusters on the waistband as is the rule. The diagonal front cut, 6-button, double breasted waistcoat elevates this outfit.

The rest of the outfit is styled according to the dress code. From bottom to top: a patent black tuxedo shoe or a black leather loafer as a toned down version. Black shoes are the obvious way to go with a tuxedo. A tuxedo shirt with a pique front, a French cuff and studs closing. Are you wearing this outfit in a warm location? Then it might be a good idea to consider a less heavy blind closing front. The accessories? Clean if you ask us. A stylish, not too small self bow tie for some sophisticated class. And a crisp white pocket square. A small detail with a big impact. Now you are ready to shine.
